On November 14, 2007, my 17 year old son Tim Schiefelbein was in a serious car accident.  On Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 9:50am Tim was called Safely Home. He now rejoices in Gods presents and watches over all of us!!!

MY TOAST TO TIM

I would like to make a toast to Tim for the personal and spiritual growth he has given me. We all know how difficult he was to handle since the age of 9 months. Tim has always been a challenge. He forced me to grow personally but mostly spiritually. I spent countless hours on my knees praying for him. I actually wore out the knees on 3 pairs of jeans. Through this short journey with Tim he taught me to totally trust in God. Once at Campus Life with his friends I was privileged enough to see the other side of Tim during the lemonade contest. I saw he knew the true meaning of friendship and how to live life to its fullest despite the personal difficulties he had in his life. Tim always wore a smile on his face and a kind word on his lips for whoever needed it. He always included everyone and encouraged them to be their best. Tim brought many of his friends to God just by the way he lived his life and the example he set for his friends. After his death I know of at least 3 people he brought back to God and the Catholic Church. I know now that Tim continues to watch over me and helps me to totally trust in God for all things. I think deep down he knows he owes me for all the trouble he put me through. Tim I love and miss you terribly and hope to see you very soon! So here’s to Tim, the great gift God has given to all of us to love and cherish forever!

Love,

Mom
